9/18 -- Ed finished 2nd in the heat at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday n ight. Had a good run leading a few laps early before something caused the motor stopped running and ending the night for the EA Motorsports team. Plans for the rest of the year are up in the air til we figure what happened to the motor.

9/10 -- The EA Motorsports team made the trip to Bridgeport Speedway for the Jason Leffler Tribute race tonight. The team chose to run their 360 vs the 410s. Ed was 15th quick in time trials. Starting 8th in the heat, Ed was able to advance to 5th place. Ed started the feature 14th and finished 13th, which was the highest 360 at the event that featured 19 cars.

9/2 -- Ed and the EA Motorsports team were having their best run of the season running 4th at Delaware International Speedway and with ten laps to go Ed got a flat tire and finished 12th.

Our next event will be Sunday night at Bridgeport Speedway for the Jason Leffler Tribute race. Hope to see you all there!

8/27 -- We will sum up the bad weekend with the finishes for our weekend.  At Williams Grove we finished 22nd, the car was awful!  At Port Royal the car was better but we had motor problems and finished 21st.  We hope to turn our luck around this weekend.  The car is being worked on and the plan is to be in action this Saturday at Delaware International Speedway.

8/13 -- EA Motorsports were in action Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway where Ed started 4th in the heat but had car problems and finished 7th. Starting 14th in the feature, Ed was able to make it up to 8th for another top ten finish! Catch us in action at Williams Grove Speedway on 8/23 and Port Royal Speedway on 8/24!

8/6 -- It was a long and difficult night for everyone at Lincoln Speedway Saturday night. It was a bad night for EA Motorsports finishing 17th in the feature. More importantly we lost a great racer and hero in racing Kramer Williamson. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Ed qualifed second through his heat at Williams Grove Speedway Friday night. Starting 5th in the feature, Ed quickly moved to third before the red flag on lap one. Ed moved to second before the next yellow. The car then got lose when the tires sealed over and Ed finished 10th!

7/23 -- On Saturday night at Delaware International Speedway, Ed started 6th in his heat and finished 4th. Starting 8th in the feature, Ed moved up to sixth when a lap car ran Ed off the track. Ed slid back to 15th and was able to charge back to a 10th place finish!

7/7 -- After starting 9th in the heat race, Ed finished a solid 3rd to qualify for the feature. Starting 12th in the feature, Ed quickly moved up to 9th and then the track dried up. The team missed the setup a bit but learned a lot and brought home a top 10 finish. Next stop will be Delaware International Speedway!

7/2 -- Catch us in action this Saturday at New Egypt Speedway!  

6/18 -- It was a tough first night back for the EA Motorsports team.  Ed was able to qualify through his heat race but was involved in a early accident during the feature and finishes 23rd.  The plan is to be back in action on July 6th with the URC!  

6/14 -- Ed and the EA Motorsports team will be at Grandview Speedway tomorrow night!  

Bridgeport Speedway's 'Night of Wings' has been postponed due to the accident with Jason Leffler.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Leffler family and friends.

6/10 -- Ed and the EA Motorsports team set to make their return to the track at Bridgeport Speedway's Night of Wings this Wednesday!  Ed's health issues have been cleared up and he is ready to race!  There is a possibility for the team to run Saturday night at Grandview Speedway with the URC.  A decision will be made after the Wednesday night event.

10/17 -- After suspension issues during warm ups, Ed and the team regroup to finish 10th in the URC finale at Grandview Speedway.  After a fifteen race season, Ed and the EA Motorsports team finishes 6th in the driver and owners points for 2012.  EA Motorsports would like to thank all their 2012 sponsors for their support.  See you all next season!

10/8 -- Come out and see us in action this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.  This is the last URC event of the season.

9/4 -- The EA Motorsports team was able to make the repairs from the Port Royal Speedway flip.  Starting 14th in the feature, Ed brought the car home with a solid 6th place finish.  There are just two events left in the 2012 URC season and the team sits 6th in driver and owner points.  The next event for us is on September 29th at New Egypt Speedway.

8/28 -- It was a rough double header weekend for the EA Motorsports team.

On Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, 39 cars were in attendance.  Starting 7th in the feature was challenging for the lead at half way he cut down a tire.  Repairs were made and Ed was able to return and finish a solid 10th.

Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway Ed started 14th and was up to 7th when he was spun by Kramer Williamson causing him to flip and finishing a dissapointing 17th.

The EA Motorsports team plans to be in action this Saturday at Delaware International Speedway as long as repairs can be made.

 

8/14 -- 47 sprint cars were in attendance at Black Rock Speedway. Starting 5th in the heat race, Ed was able to take the lead by half way.  While leading the left front spindle broke but Ed was able to finish 3rd.  Making the redraw for the feature, Ed started 6th and finished 8th after the track got slick and dusty making it hard to see.

At Selinsgrove Speedway, Ed started fourth in his heat race and finished second.  Starting towards the front for the feature, Ed was challenging for the lead when his right rear tire began to blister.  Ed was able to hold on for ninth and capture another top ten for the season.

The EA Motorsports team has the week off before another double header weekend.

8/7 -- At Williams Grove Spedway the team was having some car troubles during the heat race sending Ed to the B-Main.  Ed finished second in the B-Main and started 20th in the feature.  Ed earned the hard charger award finishing a sold 9th place.  Lincoln Speedway was canceled due to rain.  After nine events the EA Motorsports team sits 7th in points. Come catch us this week with another double header weekend with a Friday night stop at Black Rock Speedway and Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway.  Hope to see you at the track!

7/24 -- It was a tough night at Grandview Speedway last night. Ed qualified through his heat race finishing 6th. Starting the feature 17th, Ed was on his way to the front when the #76 hopped the front wheel causing wing damage resulting in a 14th place finish. Catch the EA Motorsports team in two weeks at Williams Grove Speedway!

7/10 -- The EA Motorsports team made the trip to New Egypt Speedway for Bar's Leaks Nationals.  It was a long night of action with rain in the area and a very wet track.  After failing to qualify through the heat, Ed started the B-Main fifth and finished third.   Starting the feature 21st, Ed was on the move and was in 7th around half way when Randy West made contact on the right front causing the car to bicycle.  Ed was able to finish out the feature and bring home a 15th place finish which should of been a solid top 5 finish.

After seven events the EA Motorsports team sits 7th in points.  The team will be in action next at Grandview Speedway on July 21st.

6/26 -- The 2012 URC Season to date:

On a personal note, The EA Motorsports team lost its best friend and mascot this year.  Rest In Peace Hunter, we know you will be watching over us!

Ed and the EA Motorsports team is currently 9th in points.

10/18 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Grandview Speedway on Saturday.  Ed started on the pole and led the first five laps before being passed by Dave Ely.  On lap ten Ed regained the lead in traffic and went on to win the final race of the URC season!  Ed and the team finished up a solid 12th in points not racing the complete season. The Aikin Motorsports would like to thank the fans, sponsors and photographers for a great year.  Look for photos from Grandview Speedway coming soon!

10/4 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Delaware International Speedway on Saturday.  Ed started fifth and finished third.  Ed started fifth in the feature and was up to third when tire issues caused Ed to drop to 6th at the finish. The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at Grandview Speedway on Saturday 10/15.

9/6 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Delaware International Speedway on Saturday.  Ed started fourth and won his heat race.  For the feature Ed started on the pole and lead wire to wire with the car setup perfectly. Sunday the team was in action at Georgetown Speedway.  Ed started 14th and finished 8th in the feature on the roughest track he has ever ran on and sustained helmet damage.  The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday 9/24.

8/30 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday for the URC Rislone Challenge.  After a bad draw with 36 cars in attendance, Ed started the heat eighth and finished fifth.  For the feature Ed started 11th and finished 14th after missing the setup. Racing at Port Royal Speedway was rained out on Saturday.  The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at Delaware International Speedway on Saturday 9/3 and Georgetown Speedway on Saturday 9/4.

8/16 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Big Diamond Speedway on Friday.  Ed started the heat fifth and finished third.  For the feature Ed started 7th and was up to fifth when Troy Betts spun and put Ed into the tires.  Ed continued without a caution towards the back of the pack.  Ed regrouped for a solid 11th place finish. Racing at Selinsgrove Speedway was rained out on Saturday.  Many thanks go out to Tim Moran for letting us use his photos on our website. The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday 8/26 and Port Royal Speedway on Saturday 8/27.

8/9 -- The Aikin Motorsports team had some troubles during time trials at Williams Grove.  Ed started the heat second and finished second.  For the feature Ed started 15th and finished 17th on a track that didn't allow alot of passing.  The team was at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday when the rain came and washed out the night of racing.  The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at Big Diamond Speedway on Friday 8/12 and Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday 8/13.

8/3 -- Sorry fans for the delay in updating this week.  We had some issues with our hosting company. The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Delaware International Speedway Saturday night.  It was a long night for Ed and the team starting 14th in the feature and finishing 13th after the track took rubber.  The Aikin Motorsports will be in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday 8/5 and Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday 8/6.

7/19 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Lincoln Speedway Saturday night.  Ed was the last car out in time traials and set fast time.  In the heat race Ed started sixth and finshed a solid third.  Starting fourth in the feature Ed lost a few positions but was able to regroup for strong fifth place after the track took rubber.  The Aikin Motorsports will take the week of and skip Rolling Wheels and return to action at Delaware International Speedway on Saturday, July 30th.

7/12 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Bridgeport Speedway after rain washed out Big Diamond Speedway on Friday night.  Ed had the car hooked up for the heat race and won it in convincing fashion.  Ed started the feature around mid pack and was running in the top five when he made contact with the inside wall causing damage and ending the night finishing a disappointing 17th.  The Aikin Motorsports will be at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, July 16th.

7/5 -- The Aikin Motorsports team had a rough Friday night at Georgetown Speedway.  Ed was running in the top five with a few laps remaining when a lap car turned down sending Ed for a rough and wild flip finishing a frustrating 17th.  The car was to heavily damanaged to compete at New Egypt Speedway.  If all repairs go well the Aikin Motorsports will be at Big Diamond Speedway on July 8th and Bridgeport Speedway on July 9th.

6/21 -- The Aikin Motorsports team was in action at Delaware International Speedway this past weekend with Ed starting the heat race 4th and finishing a solid 3rd to make it into the feature.  Starting 10th in the feature, Ed finished a strong 7th and brought the car home in one piece.  The team will enjoy a well earned week off.  The Aikin Motorsports will be at Georgetown Speedway on July 1st and New Egypt Speedway on July 2nd.

6/14 -- Rain washes out racing at Grandview Speedway.  The Aikin Motorsports will be at Delaware International Speedway on June 18th.

6/7 -- Ed and the Aikin Motorsports team had a rough timing session at Williams Grove Speedway.  The team rebounded with a strong 3rd in the heat race.  Ed was runnning in 9th in the feature when he was taken out by Josh Weller. Ed parked the car with a few laps remaining and no brakes finishing 21st.  The Aikin Motorsports will be at Grandview Speedway on June 11th.

5/31 -- The motor problems have been fixed and the Ed started the heat race seventh and finished a strong 4th at Delaware International Speedway.  Ed started the feature 9th and lossed a few spots with the track being rubbered down and regrouped to finish a solid 10th. The team headed to Georgetown Speedway where Ed had a great finish in the heat races and finished the feature with a very strong 3rd place finish.  The Aikin Motorsports will be at Williams Grove Speedway on June 3rd.

5/17 -- The Aikin Motorsports team was unable to qualify at Selinsgrove Speedway.  The team had motor problems and will return at Delaware International Speedway on May 28th.

4/12 -- The "Black Cloud" continues to follow the Aikin Motorsports team.  Ed started his heat and finish a strong 2nd.  Starting 4th for the feature the car was setup perfect and Ed grabbed the lead on lap seven and drove away from the field.  On the restart something broke in the drive line sidelining the Aikin Motorsports #7 from winning the opening night of the 2011 URC season. The team will be running at Selinsgrove Speedway on May 14th.

4/5 -- The Aikin Motorsports team ventured out to Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night to get the bugs out of the car.  Ed qualified through his heat race and finished a strong 9th against the 410's with his 360.  The team will be running with the URC for the 2011 season and look forward to seeing this weekend at Bridgeport Speedway.

9/7 -- The Aikin Motorsports team competed at Lincoln Speedway this past Saturday night.  Ed qualified through his heat race finishing second.  Ed finished the feature 9th but felt they could of finished better. The tentative plan is for the Aikin Motorsports team to be in action at Port Royal Speedway this Saturday.

8/17 -- The Aikin Motorsports team returned to Lincoln Speedway this past Saturday night.  Ed qualified through his heat by finishing third.  Ed started the feature 9th and moved his way up to 5th by the first caution.  During the yellow Ed developed tire problems and slid back to finish 13th. The plan is for Aikin Motorsports to be in action this Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.

8/10 -- Ed and the Aikin Motorsports team made the trip Sunday to race with the World of Outlaws at Lebanon Valley Speedway (LVS).  There was a field of 29 cars and this was the first time Ed was at LVS and qualified for the A-Main and ran all the laps finishing a solid 15th. Ed was the first non-regular outlaw to cross the line.

7/18 -- Ed finishes 22nd at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, July 17th.

7/11 -- Ed finishes 19th at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, July 10th.

7/5 -- Ed finishes 17th at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, July 4th.

5/4 -- The Aikin Motorsports made their 2010 debut at Port Royal Speedway.  Ed had the car running good when he was taken out during his heat race.  The team was able to get the car repaired and qualified through the consolation event.  Starting in the rear for the feature Ed brought home a solid 15th place finish.  The team plans to take this weekend off with a possibility of running with the Outlaws the following week.

10/14 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Rolling Wheels Raceway to run with the World of Outlaws.  Ed timed 28th of 44 with motor trouble.  Starting 7th in the heat Ed moved into 4th and the motor started to lay down with two laps to go and with just 5 feet to the finish line he got past for the last qualifying spot.  The team couldn't get the motor to run the rest of the night and end the teams night.  The black cloud still hangs over the Aikin Motorsports team.  Check back here for the teams remaining schedule for 2009 as soon as its posted!

9/16 -- The Aikin Motorsports team made the trip to Port Royal for the Tuscarora 50.  The first time seeing the speedway Ed was able to qualify for the big event.  Starting 20th, Ed ran all the laps finishing 14th.  It was a good night for the team with a lot of big teams not for  this big event.  We will be heading back to Lincoln Speedway in a few weeks to finish off our season and hope to see you there!

8/31 -- Ed started on the poll for his heat but was taken out by the #4 of John Rudisill on the first lap.  The team was able to get the car fixed for the consolation event with Ed falling one spot shy of qualifying for the twin twenties.  With there being some crashes in the first twenty lap feature, Ed was able to start the second feature as the first alternate with Ed finishing 22nd.  We will be heading out to Port Royal Speedway for the Tuscarora 50 and hope to see you there!

8/18 -- Ed runs a double header at Lincoln racing running a 410 and 360.  Ed won his heat by over a straightaway and then went on to comfortably lead the feature when on lap 11 he lost the brakes finishing 7th.  In the URC feature Ed started 18th in the #00 and finished 11th with only one caution flag during the feature.  With a little luck we hope to be in victory lane real soon.  We will be back in action this Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway and hope to see you there!

8/12 -- Ed grabbed a last minute ride at Williams Grove Speedway driving the Elmer Stoltzfus #00.  In his first return back in a URC sprint car Ed finished a strong 7th place in the feature.  Saturday night in a time trial show at Lincoln Speedway Ed qualified 28 of 30.  Ed qualified through the consolation event and started last in the feature finishing a respectable 15th.  We will be back in action this Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway and hope to see you there!

7/21 -- Ed continues to gain on the competition with another great feature finish!  Ed finished a strong 2nd in the heat race and grabbed his second fourth place finish in the feature!  We will be back in action in two weeks at Lincoln Speedway and hope to see you there!

7/14 -- Ed returns to Saturday night racing at Lincoln Speedway and continues to gain on the competition.  Ed ran a smooth heat race collecting his second heat race win of the season.  Ed continues his good momentum with a strong 4th place in the feature.  We will be back in action this Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway and hope to see you there!

7/1 -- Ed makes a good return to a familiar track for the first time in a 410 sprint car.  Ed qualified through the consilation event and started the feature in 23rd spot.  After a wild night of racing and a hour and a half rain delay Ed brought the #7 home with a strong 13th place finish.  Stay tuned for upcoming schedule.

6/23 -- Ed and the Aikin Motorsports enjoy their best night yet in 410 racing at Lincoln Speedway.  Ed ran a strong heat race in route to his first heat race win in a 410.  Ed was able to capitalize on his heat race win and followed it up with a strong 6th place finish in the feature just missing out on his first top 5 of the season.  The Aikin Motorsports team continue to gain momentum as they work out the bugs in their first year of 410 racing.  The team plans to take this Saturday off from Lincoln Speedway and may possibly run the Speed Week show at Grandview Speedway on June 30th.  Stay tuned here for updates on the schedule.

6/16 -- The Aikin Motorsports had a rough night and it started with time trials when Ed qualified 32nd.  Ed was unable to qualify through the heat and then heavy rains postponed the show for an hour and a half.  With the heavy track conditions the team called it a night.  Ed and the team will be back in action this week at Lincoln Speedway.  Hope to see you all this Saturday night!

6/9 -- The Aikin Motorsports team was the 10th fast car in warmups.  Ed and the team struggled with the changing track conditions and were unable to qualify through the heat and then the consolation event.  Ed and the team continue to learn each and every week at Lincoln Speedway and hope to turn there luck around soon!  Hope to see you all this Saturday night!

6/3 -- The Aikin Motorsports team was back in action at Lincoln Speedway this past weekend and was the 5th fastest car in warm ups.  Ed started last in the heat and the consi unable to gain any positions to make the feature event.  The #7 team hopes to change its luck and see you all at the Lincoln Speedway this Saturday night!

5/26 -- It was a rough two outings against the World of Outlaws.  At Delaware International Speedway Ed broke the rocker arm and sidelined the #7 Aikin Motorsports team until this past Saturday night.  Ed and the team traveled to Virginia Motor Speedway where they were unable to qualify.  The #7 team is looking for a change in luck and hope to see you all at the Lincoln Speedway this Saturday night!

5/12 -- It was a successful Saturday night for the Aikin Motorsports team this past weekend at Lincoln Speedway.  Ed qualified through his heat finishing 6th and then ran all 25 laps in the feature finishing 17th.  Ed and the team look forward more track time and the results will continue to improve.  Hope to see you all at the Delaware International Speedway this Wednesday night!

4/28 -- After all the repairs were made on in time on the #7 Aikin Motorsports for racing action Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway a new problem surfaced.  During the heat an oil leak sidelined Ed for the night.  The problem will be fixed and hopefully the luck for the Aikin Motorsports team will turn around this week.  We hope to see you at the track this week!

4/21 -- It was a up and down night for the #7 Aikin Motorsports team.  Ed had a solid 2nd place finish in the heat race and started on the pole for the feature.  While leading the feature got into the marbles and spun out in front of the field and sustained frame damage.  Ed finished 22nd in the feature.  It will be a long week in the garage with hopes of returning this weekend if repairs are finished in time.

4/14 -- It was a tough first week back at the track after having the motor fixed.  Ed was under the weather and was out of handicapping after missing two weeks of action.  He was unable to qualify in his heat and fell two spots shy of qualifying for the feature through the consolation event.   We look fwd to seeing you back at the track next week with our engine woes fixed as we try to qualify for our first 410 event!

3/26 -- The hard work continues in the Aikin Motorsports shop and the plan is to be back in action next week when the motor work is finished.  Also please take a look at our newly updated photo page and thanks to all the photographers for their hard work and patience.  Hope to see you all next week back at Lincoln Speedway!

3/17 -- Ed started on the pole and was running great until the motor went sour.  While slowing down Ed was run over by Chad Layton and flipped him on his side and then caught fire.  Ed escaped uninjured but there is alot of work to be done on the car.  It will be a long week in the garage for AIKIN Motorsports but we hope to see you all back at Lincoln Speedway next Saturday. We hope to turn our luck  soon and thank our fans for all your support!  The picture page is being reworked and update soon.

3/10 -- Ed was qualified in his heat before contact with another competitor forced him to the pits with a flat tire.  Ed was unable to qualify through the consolation event.  Hope to see you all back at Lincoln Speedway this Saturday for our third event! 

3/3 -- Ed learned a lot for his first start behind the wheel of his own 410 sprint car and gained valuable experience.  Ed missed qualifying for his first show by two cars in the consolation event.  Hope to catch you all back at the Lincoln Speedway this Saturday for our second event! 

3/1 -- Welcome to the online home of AIKIN Motorsports!  Ed and the team will be running Lincoln Speedway this year along with some special Thunder on the Hill shows at Grandview Speedway.  Catch you at the track February 27th for our first 410 start!
